Community Foundations are the fastest growing sector of philanthropy in the United States. We are able to help people accomplish their charitable goals and improve the quality of life in the local area for generations to come. Our staff work personally with families, individuals, estates, and financial planners to help design gifts that fit all situations. Across the country More than 700 Community Foundations hold over $31 billion in assets which are granted back to their communities. Our goals are simple yet effective in helping our community grow:
Gather: We build endowments from gifts recieved though individals, families, businesses, private foundations, and other non-profit organizations.
Grow: The endowments are invested and the Finance Committee establishes and oversees the sound investment policies which protect and enhance the principle.
Grant: We distribute a portion of the income and principle annually, to area 501(c)(3)'s. These distributions can be made according to the wish of each donor or by the directon of the Community Foundation.
